Last weekend was a blast! Thanks to everyone who came by to say hi and see us in action. I want to make a shout out to my students who did an amazing job on all 4 of our spots and my colleagues who are all burnt and aching along with me :) The shark defenders mini blog series turned out awesome too, and we definitely got a lot of exposure for sharks. Good luck on your mission, Stanely, we enjoyed our time with you!
I am also very excited to announce that you can now purchase my prints online with a donation made to Reef Rescue. This is a great way to help the marine conservation efforts of palm beach county, and get some art at the same time. I hope you consider supporting their cause!
Last but not least, mark your calendars for this coming weekend in downtown Lake Worth AGAIN! I will be in the juried outdoor art festival and then... I'm taking a break for a little while, haha. I will post specifics and surprises for this weekend soon, so stay tuned...
Hey everyone! Come visit us at the street painting this weekend in downtown lake worth. We are doing 4 spots: this infamous turtles that Yvette Pearson does every year, Seahorses inspired by the artwork of Damien Share (look him up, he is awesome!), one of my new paintings of the octopus on the chart of the Florida keys, and last but not least, shark Stanley and friends!
Friend the shark defenders on Facebook ahead of time so you can post your pictures with shark Stanley when you visit us! You can also download the book for free from their site or sage magazine, "the adventures of shark Stanley and friends." I will be guest blogging for them about our experience at the festival and how we educate the public on sharks. Follow along with us, here is the link-
Thank you so much to everyone that came to the Downtown Open Market in Boca! It was so nice to meet some of you in person, finally!
If you came to the show were the first to see the new Octopus and Seahorses prints that I promised to unveil. I have posted them both on my recent work page to view and now it's contest time! Here's how it works:
Pin this or one of my paintings to your pinterest or share a link to my website or this contest opportunity on your facebook and then friend me on facebook (if we are not already friends) and comment about where you pinned or posted. I will check to make sure and then put your name in the drawing to win one of the new prints! Good luck!
Last minute errands and preparations for the Downtown Open Market in Boca tomorrow! I hope to see you all there from 10am- 4pm on the corner of Federal and Mizner. Don't forget to mention the website for a discount on prints... If anyone has any last minute tips or ideas, feel free to comment! Teddy has his fanny pack ready to go with cash change and we looked at a bunch of packing lists for art shows online so I think we are pretty well set, but anything else you can think of would be great! I also want to make a shout out thanks to Damien Share for all of his veteran, art show advice! I think we are just about ready, see you all tomorrow!
This Sunday, Feb. 10th from 6-10pm at Trinkets and Treasures on Lake Ave. will be free champagne and chocolate! I will be there painting a new piece for the upcoming show and enjoying all the treats. Come on by and join us for a great evening. Hope to see you there!
